When there is a small to moderate amount of decay (or caries) in a tooth, we can restore the tooth using a direct restoration or filling.
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and the tissues connected to those teeth. It is made of acrylic plastic and sometimes porcelain and metal materials. A denture closely resembles natural gum tissue and teeth.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is surgically anchored into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge in place. We do not place the implant itself in our office (we send you to a surgeon to have this step completed), but we do place the final restoration (crown, bridge, partial or denture) on top of the completed implant.
